Tuscaloosa County Industrial Development Authority~

New and Expanding Members of Tuscaloosa's Industrial Community

Tuscaloosa County has enjoyed significant economic growth during recent years. Since 1981, Tuscaloosa County has experienced more than $1.3 billion in capital investments and more than 6,000 new jobs created directly through manufacturing and distribution locations and expansions. In addition, commercial and retail projects have developed throughout all areas of the County including the location of national hotel, restaurant and retail operations. Much of this growth occurred following the location of Mercedes-Benz to our area.
